The Mysterious Disappearance of the Second Youngest Sister

The Mysterious Disappearance of the Second Youngest Sister

choreographed by Michael Estanich

This was the piece that I loved the most.  I saw it when it was originally(?) performed at Ohio State in December 2006.  For me it was about the neglect of visionaries/creators, but how their work becomes connected to the lives of other individuals.  I would like to say that their was an idea of clairvoyance from the girl in white that dictated/foreshadowed the later actions of the individuals in dark tones.

I also enjoyed the quick manipulation of objects onstage that re-evaluates the functionality of that object.

However:

The Mysterious Disappearance of the Second Youngest Sister, a work that delves into the mind of a Victoria-era female author to unearth how the solitary act of fabricating fictional characters springs from a desire to connect with the living.

explores the intertwined relationship of three characters caught within one young female writer’s reality and creative imagination. The dance uses the relationship between author and characters as a symbol for psychological unraveling and the desire to connect.

Anyways So I finally found a video of it online.
